Brief History of the School:
Kelki Higher Secondary school is the first private school in Bhutan. It is located in the heart of the Capital city, Thimphu. Mr. Kelzang Thinley the former Assistant Auditor General is the proprietor of the school. The school was founded on the 5th day of 7th month of the year of the Rabbit, 1987, with His Excellency Lynpo Sonam Tobgay as the honourable chief guest.
The school was upgraded to offer higher secondary courses in 1999. His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo addressed our students in the year 2000 in the school assembly where His Majesty gracefully expressed contentment to the achievements of the school. And in the same year in June the school was also granted the affiliation with the Council
for Indian School Certificate Examination, Delhi and in December 2000 the first batch of 48 BB-ICSE candidates passed out from the School.
