Thimphu Thromde has successfully completed infrastructure improvement works worth Nu. 48.55 million within a period of six months, with the aim of enhancing public safety, accessibility, and the overall well-being of our communities.
The completed works include infrastructure development at Dechencholing Satellite Town, comprising road improvement, sewerage, storm water drainage, pedestrian walkways, and street lighting, as part of the recovery efforts following the 2024 flash flood. In addition, road resurfacing works at Dangrina, construction of a bus bay at Hejo, tertiary road improvement works around Taba, and installation of street lighting around Taba and Jungshina have been completed to provide safer, more accessible, and convenient movement for residents, pedestrians, and commuters.
As we continue to improve and maintain our urban infrastructure, we kindly request all road users and pedestrians to remain cautious, follow traffic signs, and exercise care, especially around newly improved road sections and bus facilities. Your safety and cooperation remain our priority.
